Lynda, have you ever tried a variety called "Jamestown" ? I grew it for the first time last year, in my high-tunnel greenhouse; mainly tried it because it is supposed to produce even in the heat, which has been a problem for me in the GH (I guess it's the yin to the yang of my plants not getting diseased in there!). At any rate, it did not disappoint - it kept setting fruit all summer, nice large tomatoes with quite good flavor and texture, and not thick skinned as far as I remember. (and it is a determinate)
