I think its a sin to put little glass bottles (anchovies, mustard, capers, horseradish) in the trash. I use them to stand up cuttings in. You can see the tiny roots developing and they are more stable than paper or plastic cups. You can easily see the water level, and they wash up well too. The problem is storage. When they are not in use, you have to find a free corner to hide them in. Then you forget where your put them!
