From Stout and Arisumi's research, it takes up to two hours for the pollen tube to be obviously in the style after pollination and by 6-12 hours the tip of the pollen tube is close to the ovary (the male cells are just behind the tip). It may or may not stall there for several hours before actually entering the ovary. Fertilization is achieved between 24 and 48 hours (24 for Stout, 24-48 for Arisumi).
