Agave Isthmensis 'Shoji Rajin' Variegata is the name I have on mine.
Raijin is a god of lightning, thunder and storms in the Shinto religion and in Japanese mythology.
shoji = paper or thin like paper as in paper doors.
Isthemensis or Potatorum. That is the question? Some say their the same while some say isthemensis is in it's own class. Myself, I don't know or care. They are close enough to believe that isthemensis is the dwarf form of potatorum which is a small growing Agave itself.

From the Huntington.org/botanical div.
A. isthmensis is closely related to A. potatorum and circulated in cultivation as a dwarf form of that species until described in 1993 by GarcĂa-Mendoza & Palma.

Mine are not doing so well. Seems every new leaf it grows, it looses one. I am doing some thing wrong here and I hope to find out soon.
Potatorum is a fast growing hardy type while isthemensis is not forgiving type that once over watered or under watered it shows it fast.
