You could do more damage with rot if you try to cut the tips during rainy season. Wait until your plant is more established and has grown. I did more damage checking my plants instead of just leaving them alone.

Well said @gigiplumeria , will leave them alone and will see how they do.

Good luck on your cuttings. I have no luck with it. I tried making them callous. Tried sand and perlite but still no luck. I will wait till next spring to see if I will have better luck. For now, my new motto is to just leave them alone (suckers and all) and let them grow.

I pruned my oldest adenium sometime back as after uppotting it toppled because of heavy branches. It grows like crazy.
So I tried to propagate cuttings . Luckily this time cuttings survived but very slow growth rate.

I have cut from the top as well, like like because of this the growth rate is show. I saw one video which says that need to leave newest growth of leaves on the branch so that it's on the growth path.

I used coarse sand in a small pot , dried the cuttings for 2-3 days and after planting kept indoors for again 2-3 days . Didn't give water for 5 days as used slighlty moist media . Watered when the media was dry till the bottom. Recently added bit of soil and organic fertilizer (dried banana peels, onion peels , less quantity of dried tea leaves - all grinded in a powder form )for nutrition .
