Butterflies I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database! Daylilies Hummingbirder Ponds
Thanks to everyone for your comments. They are greatly appreciated.

This morning when I went outside to go see what was blooming, I heard a weird noise and looked and this is what I saw in the street a couple of doors down. I quickly grabbed the camera. I think they had just landed.

Walter Kennedy - FFO

Written on the Wind - FFO - is not supposed to be a double.

Pandora's Treasure - FFO on a prolif I planted a couple of summers ago. PT is a beautiful daylily, but this is not its best bloom.

Men in Black - FFO This is one of the best branched daylilies growing here. As the temps get hotter, MIB will exhibit white teeth on the edge. A favorite.

Follow Your Fancy - FFO - gave me two blooms.

Dragonfly Dawn gave me twin blooms this morning.

Free Wheelin' - I brought a bloom in and measured it a couple of days ago. I did stretch it out, which I know you are not supposed to do for registering a flower and it was 13". Those of you who grow lots of spiders think nothing of this, but for this person who fancies round and ruffled, it was astounding.

Four Eyes is getting better. It is intimately acquainted with Dragonfly Dawn pollen.

Orange Cherry Jubilee is more cherry than orange today. Some of that could be my camera.

This is the second bloom on a seedling I posted a few days ago. I used Michele's trick of focusing on something else, holding the shutter half way down and then moving the bloom into focus. I seems to be helping with photographing the reds and purples and other really dark colors. This is Ethel Buccola X SC Hot Tamales. It has the coloring of Hot Tamales but has a darker eye, which I guess it gets from Ethel.

This is a white seedling that I am evaluating. This is a second flower and the sepals are not behaving well. I did divide it last fall, so maybe that is the cause of poor performance. I grow a lot of white daylilies and this is as white as any of them. I did nothing to the photo except crop, label and resize - did nothing to enhance the color.
