Hi everyone,

Can you help me identify this plant? I swear it spread and flopped overnight (probably not, but sure seems that way).

For next year, wondering what I can do to prevent this flopping. There are 2 large bushes of the same plant right next to each other, behind a large crepe myrtle. Now that these have flopped, they're covering other plants that are probably too closely planted.

I purchased the home late March and figured I'd give it a full year to see what comes out of the ground.

Thank you!
