A member wrote to me to inform me that there is an unregistered daylily in the database. They have listed "Unregistered" in the hybridizer area. The daylily is "Nashville Star."

I don't think that we should have unregistered ones in the database. With over 70,000 registered... and given that there are hundreds of thousands of seedlings blooming each year in people's gardens and seedling beds - we could create quite a bit of confusion if people start putting what, in effect, are seedlings in the database.

When a person sees a plant like this, should they click "delete this plant" button, contact Sue or Shrug! Shrug! Shrug!

I wish there were a way to prevent people from putting seedlings into the database. Maybe this one showed up because people put it on their Plant List? I don't think we should prevent new entries that were not imported from the AHS database because there are new introductions that are out in commerce but have not had the details added to the AHS database yet (until published in the AHS checklist).

Any ideas?
