Close to home, it makes sense to buy rechargeable batteries. I got this PV charger, at least 25 years ago, for those pesky wee button cells that have teeny, hard-to-read numbers and are never on the rack in the store when you need one.
There's a tiny red LED that shows that it's charging.
I've also got a tester especially for button cells.
