One year, I put on some welders gloves and picked a pot full... Cooked it up, and had an excellent broth.
I waited too long to harvest, and the leaves and stems were too tough to eat... they were discarded, but I totally want some more of that broth!

You may have waited too long...
to be on the safe side the plant should not be eaten after flowering.
