I have 22. That's types of plants where I have to have every new one that comes out. I did stop at 1200 on daylilies cut back to 800 on iris, though. I have way more than i can take care of. It's all spread over 10 a res and i don't have a sprinkler system. We've lived here 3 yrs but i've gardened with passion since i was 10, and some plants have moved with me from house to house.
Roses 400
Hosta 200
Peony 75
Clematis 75
Lilium 150 that have nametags
Shrubs! I love shrubs! Especially viburnums, lilac, hibiscus, crepe myrtle
japanese maples
Grasses and i even keep them labeled
citrus
Water lilies
Dianthus, echinaceas, sedum, salvias, hoya, coleus, philodendron and my first love, African violets.
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.
