I have several varieties of daylily in my garden and personally like the foliage. I agree that it 'acts' as a good substitute for ornamental grass. In fact, that is the reason I have mine planted in the locations I do. That probably sounds weird to daylily enthusiasts but to me their blooms are the bonus to the graceful arching grass like foliage. Smiling You're also right about them being so 'care free'. It's always lovely when you can have a plant and not have to do constant maintenance on said plant. Thumbs up

I can't see myself paying $100+ for a daylily, but I'm patient and know that price will come down to my level in a couple of years. nodding
