don't know if any one is interested but a friend sent me this message, and i thought it was an interesting way from a fellow iris lover to share her thoughts and enthusiasm. (however the article only touts one vendor, and as we all know there are many more vendors with equally gorgeous iris.)
the "cards" gave me pause for thought, and an idea for my own collection. i'd be able to organize mine that way.
if i printed them on a sheet of card stock and cut them out individually, i could add or discard (as irises were added or culled). it would make a visual shuffle that might make placement for arranging of color pallet and "time" of bloom. (tho', as we know iris don't always stick to a particular schedule.)
i've done something similar, but not as compact nor substantial (mine are printed on typing paper, full-sized, and not as easily manipulated. but, if printed on a smaller scale and on card stock, they could be handled like playing cards. easier to lay out visually in a tighter space.)
anyway, i thought this might help those who like to "plan".
