But Zoia's flowers, and Laurie's further above, don't have much of a center to them either as typical asters do. And the only foliage I'm able to pick out are more the very ends that have unopened flowers on them. I almost think they have to be on the short side, under 1', just because of how many blooms there are so close together.

But in the end, you're right, it certainly doesn't take away any enjoyment of them. I just loved that sea of blue/purplish with so many blooms covering everything when I saw them. It's just a curiosity thing at this point!
