Today, usual daily pollen dabbing.
My new phone has lost a lot of seedling and other photos, so I am trying to sort that out. I think it no longer recognizes the micro-SD card and am hoping all my photos are still safe on that. Yesterday, I took photos of seedlings then they all vanished as I was looking at them
. Went and took them again and the exact same thing happened.
On the good side of technology, today I uploaded to my laptop my daylily seedling time-lapse movies I have been making over the past week. One photo every 10mins compiled together into a movie. I can watch as daylily flowers open and close (with a time stamp so I can see who are the lazy ones, and who wake up before 5am).
When I get time to look in more detail I am hoping to watch scapes growing, too.
Pretty dorky, I know, but I was bored of looking at the same cats and raccoons over and over again, on my trail cam.
Edited to add an example looking at totally different opening rates of different seedlings.
•Red one opens well (not fully) by midnight.
•Green one is very slow. Even at 5am it has not gone beyond a tulip shape despite beginning to open at 9pm.
•Blue one does something at 2am, and is almost fully open at 5am.
3 totally different rates of flowering in one image.
