@Leftwood I reread what I read the first time and I see where I misunderstood. I'd like to thank you for pointing this out to me. This is the newest aspect of my hobby with plants, making hybrids and growing from seed. I certainly have many many sibling seedlings of several different crosses so re-crossing sibs will NOT be a problem LOL.
I think perhaps in my mind I was thinking 'complex hybrid'. One of the plants I have been getting a lot of seed from is a hybrid called Anthurium 'Mehani'. The cross all on its own is Anthurium (magnificum x [radicans x luxurians]) x crystallinum. So it already has 4 genetic contributors. I have crossed it with a variety of things....back with magnificum, with another hybrod I have had for over 15 years, A. besseae x magnificum, with Anthurium forgetii, Anthurium papillilamnum, and now anthurium Besseae aff, an undescribed species being sold as that right now until (if) it gets described officially
