Michele - I love that second one too. It's a second year seedling that hasn't improved bud count (12-13 buds per scape). Because the neighbor's tree has gotten so large, this seedling and most of the others above don't get full sun. I'm hoping to move these to a more optimum location to see if branching and bud count will improve next year. If it doesn't, this one will at least be a good bridge plant to use in producing blue eyes and edges.

Mona - Thanks so much for your comments. The Redefined Designed baby #1 is one of my very favorite seedlings. The eye has different looks on different days, but it's always interesting. It's another with a bud count of 13-14. I hope that improves when it's moved to a better location.

Fred - You are right on the money about those two having good bud counts. The Chartered Course seedling has the best bud count in the seedling bed: 22 buds on four-way branching. It's a great rebloomer too. What I love most about it is the light pink petals hold their color - even on 109-degree days. The petals have very thick, rubbery substance. That first seedling has 17 buds on four-way branching. It's a second year seedling, but first-time bloomer. The third seedling also has 17 buds on four-way branching, and is a mega rebloomer.
