Thank you! The black background was just luck that I had the garage door open, and the worm was dropping and the hummer saw it. So the camera exposed for the hummingbird, which blacks out everything inside the garage. And good thing, that background would have been horribly distracting with gardening mess!
My camera is a Sony RX10M4, and I love it. It's a bridge camera with a fixed lens, but the zoom on it is fantastic, and I love that I don't have to bother carrying extra lenses around and swapping them. I had the RX10M3 for years and recently decided to treat myself to the upgrade and so glad I did... compared to the M3, the M4 auto-focusing is lightning quick and more accurate, and burst shots are double the speed on the M3. So I've been able to catch hummer antics I'd have missed with the M3. Really made me wish I had bought it sooner.
