I am considering growing several dwarf peonies in the future. Many moons ago, while visiting, I spotted a plant which was a little over a foot tall with red flowers. I am pretty sure this was a peony but the owner of the house could not give me any information since they were not gardeners -- the plant was there when they purchased the house. The peonies would have to do well in zone 2b. I have several of the common taller types of peonies but would like to try adding something different that doesn't require staking. Hoping someone can provide some suggestions on dwarf peonies that have been successful for them in colder climes.
