We went with the New Year's tradition of pork and cabbage, but here it was very meaty ham hocks, served on braised cabbage with caraway, and red kidney beans on the side. Hot crunchy bread too. Oh, and some wine. For medicinal purposes, of course. It is New Year's Day!
