Near Pigeon Forge in the Smokies, they have saved cabins, and ways of life like the grist mill and irrigation in Cades Cove.
It's beautiful and fun to see.
Visited by many tourists.

The disguise to escape, learn literacy in Europe,
now a great great granddaughter writes poetry!
