Agree that the first image looks like a Callery Pear (Pyrus calleryana), with some pretty wicked spines/spurs in there.

Not sure on the second one; it is about the worst time to ID when buds are breaking yet leaves are not fulling unfurled. I don't think it can be Calycanthus sp. - Sweetshrub has opposite arrangement of leaves/buds, while the image shows alternate arrangement.
