I'd prefer groundcover other than grass, don't walk on lawn. Is 1/2 acre, mostly use the front half and think I can get it under control, am going to try sowing a bunch of native type flower seeds like Indian Blanket and the like, see how that goes. But backyard is just unused space' good for well & septic drain-field but otherwise would be great if after grading could sow some sort of seed/s for ground cover that wouldn't need to be mowed--being able to handle full sun, drought tolerant and soggy conditions as once graded will allow heavy summer rains to flow down there away from home. Open to any suggestions.
