I also had a few red seedlings. One bright one from a specific cross as a new seedling (all were red or pink in that cross). And some other ones.
One weird thing I have noticed with all the "red sox" seedlings is that in subsequent years they emerge fully green then gradually get redder and redder leaf-by-leaf like climbing a ladder of color.
Here is one of mine from the first year of life. I have not taken photos in this second year yet.

But I did notice this year as both parents emerged, they also had a reddish tint to the leaves at the base. The other one that gives red bases seems to be Notify Ground Crew (at least as pod parent with 2 different crosses).
Here is an example from last year as one was emerging (before the red ladder begins):

I have another new one this year, but it is more pinkish than red, from another cross (Gopher Stripes x Panning For Gold):

See, it is very weakly pink on this one, but definitely there. Curiously, in that cross, only 2 of 3 had pinkish tint to them. 3rd one was 'regular'.

As for whether the flower color relates to the leaves, I am unsure. That was my original hypothesis, as that seems to work with roses (red roses have red-edged leaves for me). I can say that my strongest one there is indeed red. The others (NGC) are orange. The latest one shown above is only a few months old so I have yet to see. But now I am doubtful that there will be a correlation as for roses. I think one of the older threads I linked you to may also discuss this, too.
