I wouldn't repot right now unless the mix is heavy and not very free draining. These can take light ranging between part shade to some direct sun. But just bright indirect is best.
This is an alocasia from the Jewel alocasia group. They are a lot more sensitive to overwatering than other species of alocasia. So do not have a heavy hand. If your medium stays too wet, then yes that is an indication that you need to repot into a mix that is lighter chunkier and more free draining. They want to stay warm. A range of about 70 at night and up to 90-95 is great. Don't let them go below 60f for too long. These are very tropical.
