Hello,

I took a root/stalk of a Bergenia from my parents home in February and brought it back to NY. It had dead brown leaves which I removed, and I put it in a glass of water to root. It grew roots and shoots which turned into leaves. I was thrilled, and planted it in organic soil with partially direct/indirect sun outside. The leaves wilted, and died. I did not over/under water it. It had such a strong beginning so I didn't know what went wrong. I removed it from the pot and put it back in glass of water to root, and nothing. : ( I dipped it into a rooting powder, and shook off the excess and tried putting it in dirt once again. (Since it had been in water the second time, no roots were generating) Can anyone help me revive it? I'm hoping to bring it back for sentimental reasons.

Thank you!
Linda
