It took so much research and trial and error and lots of money lost, that I feel should have been done by the Nursery Industry before they released them as perennials for zone 4-? and charging Perennial prices and not tested and confirmed that they were in fact hardy for the zones stated.
I felt cheated. So I had to back off until I found out how to do my own test at the least cost. I particularly had to be careful with funds because I am landscaping a new property and it was taking a lot out of the budget landscaping a couple acres of land.
