I'm guessing the previous homeowner planted things that they got at HD. It they looked pretty and were reasonable priced, in the garden they went. Nothing wrong with that.
If you can give me names of ones it reminds you of that "have been around" like happy returns, I would appreciate it.
Flower is blooming now, it is planted in partial sun but color is a pale yellow (near white?) with a tinge of pink.
