springcolor said: Welcome to Washington, I'm up North in Lake Stevens. I don't know of any gardening clubs down your way but we have some fantastic gardens to see in the area. Be sure to go to the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden and Bellevue Botanical Garden. You might also look on the Elizabeth Miller Library site for a list of Puget Sound plant associations. This library is a horticultural library at the University of Washington. Oh and Heronswood on the peninsula is a must see garden. We have so many wonderful nurseries here too.

Yes! I was lucky enough to visit the Miller garden this past May on a small group tour. Just incredible, and I came away with a wealth of ideas. Heronswood was also wonderful and I look forward to visiting that one again during different seasons. Looking forward to checking out the Bellevue garden and Powellswood Garden next. I'm a bit of a botanical garden and arboretum fanatic -- my goal is to travel around the states and see many more gardens eventually Smiling
