They are kind of a NY area thing and very simple to make.
Pour 3 tablespoons of U-Bet chocolate syrup and 1/4 cup of whole milk or half-and-half into a glass. I use the whole milk. While beating vigorously with a fork, slowly add 3/4 cups of ice cold seltzer or club soda until the glass is almost full. I go with seltzer. Drink while very cold. You can make adjustment if you want more or less chocolate or more milk and less Seltzer if you want it creamier.
One of those things that bring you back to your childhood.
