Do any of you have this issue - you have hanging plants on your front porch, it's a pain to water them so you install drip irrigation tubing, it works great but then that leads to leakage on your porch floor?
I have Boston ferns on my front porch and they like a lot of water, so I like to leave the drip tubing on for a long time to make them happy, but then my porch floor gets wet. To make matters worse I have my ferns in coconut fiber baskets, they are absolutely beautiful but, well, they leak. That being said, even a regular pot with a built-in saucer would leak based on the amount of water they want. The sun hits them pretty hard in the mornings, between that and all the wind they dry out easily. I used to take them down, saturate them and rehang but they are too big and heavy for that now.
The reason I am asking is because a year ago I developed a solution to this problem and it works really well, so I am going to market it, but I just wanted to get a feel ahead of time of how many people actually have this problem, it can't be just me, lol. For the past year I have been able to thoroughly saturate my ferns and have not had any water on my floor - life is good! So, I just wanted to reach out and see what you all think of this and get your feedback.
