About a year-and-a-half ago, I bought a beautiful bucida buceras. It's an indoor tree. When purchased, it was staked. I've kept the tree staked these past 18-months, but I read somewhere that you shouldn't stake your plant longer than 12-16 months, so I decided to remove the stake today. The tree now has a lean that starts about halfway up the trunk. Should I put the stake back, or allow the tree some freedom to build strength (if that's even a thing with plants? :))
