Planning, researching, shopping. Then laying out the beds, paths.
It doesn't always pan out but the planning is the fun (and easy) part.
I agree too. After a day at work, the best way to unwind is to walk and look at the garden. Sometimes I find a bench or seat and just savor the peace and quiet.
