The "Five Favorite Reds" and "Five Favorite Yellows" threads have been so much fun that I thought I would bump up another oldie.

It was really interesting to scroll through the posts on this old thread. Some of the orange ones listed are still around, and a lot I'd never heard of. Some don't seem orange to me (more like gold, peach, or coral), but like all colors, I guess orange is in the eye of the beholder.

I don't have as many oranges as some other colors but I do have a few favorites.
Orange Velvet (an oldie but goodie--this is a light orange like orange sherbet):

Lady Lucille by Blooms of Bressingham:

This one I suspect would increase faster and bloom more up north, but I love the color so much.

Super bloomer--all around great garden plant

Cosmic Fireball:

This is a new plant, but when it blooms, it screams, "Look at me!"

I have a few more oranges that may make the cut next year (Early Fragrance, Malibu Sunset). I haven't had them long enough yet.
