I got JC in 2014 and as others have noted it does get splotchy. The blooms usually sit just above the foliage and some petals curl more than others throwing off the symmetry of the bloom. It does have a beautiful golden edge. I don't recall seeing rust on it.

I tried to find a picture that did not have splotches or that had a symmetrical bloom and this was the closest I could find. Many times, the color fades and melts to a light, muddy brown in afternoon heat. It blooms for about 5-6 weeks beginning in late June. I have to admit that I purchased JC based on name only, so I am disappointed that it hasn't performed better.

Bud count and branching isn't great here either. 2 to 3-way branching and I am guessing 10-12 buds.

It did grow into a nice sized clump in 3 years.
