Apparently Euphorbia eritrea is not a recognized species. The name also does not appear in the Euphorbia journal, which is a useful source for older/established species.

The name Euphorbia eritrea is used variously for tree Euphorbias including ingens, candelabrum and ammak, based on what I have seen on the internet. It seems to be in common use but the plants associated with it are not all the same species.

We have 2 images under that listing that belong in this group

but I would not know what to call them except the genus name.

I think we need to delete the database entry for eritrea and that will involve moving these 2 images to the genus entry for Euphorbia, until we have a better place for them.

Paging @tomithey in case they have some input on this question.

Thank you for the heads up, Lin. I saw this name earlier today and it was unfamiliar to me, but I didn't go so far as to check it. Smiling
