I am in Central Florida. I have a 4 year desert rose that has gotten rot down the middle of the inner middle. I know this after cutting branches back. I finally realized it must be root rot so I took it out
of the pot, washed it off, dried it and it smelled. After getting some help, I still couldn't find any rot. I cut the roots all the back and nothing. I cut the middle back (it's almost 3" wide) as far as I could and that's when I found the rot. My question is can I save the healthy roots and how? Should I give up and toss the caudex?
