Just watched The Whale. I had mixed it up with some other film, so wasn't quite what I expected. It is based on a play. Brendan Fraser plays a very ill, very overweight man who left his wife and child 8 years ago for a relationship with a young man who later committed suicide.. Being a play, it all takes place in his apartment, and character and dialogue are huge. About his relationship with his now teenage daughter, ex-wife, and the sister of his lover who has become his personal assistant. May not be 'for everyone' but I thought the acting was great.
