You do realize that trillium are a form of deer food, don't you? The description says that deer eat the berries, but I doubt that they will wait. I keep trying to grow mayapples, but the deer mow them down as soon as they break through.
Maidenhair fern are finicky. I've tried them is various places in the yard with limited success. It could be that the yard just gets too dry.
I'm considering running cedar and bluebells for the wooded area. I'd much rather have that than the virginia creeper that keeps finding its way into the yard.
