The first time... It took several minutes before I realized the enormity of this bed of Peonies in bloom. Luckily there were two benches to sit on while adjusting my thoughts.

The ground behind the border contained a nicely maintained fescue lawn and a relaxed, undulating arrangement of Japanese Maples, Lacebark Maples, and other small decorative trees.
