Hello all,
I was recently given a dwarf snake plant by my significant other for my office at work and it seems in good health. It has a white almost powdery look on some of the leaves.

I tried to do some reading online and some people say maybe fungus but pictures I have seen of Fungus seem to look different than this. I have watered it twice and I don't get water on the leaves but I wondering if maybe it was misted with regular tap water before I got it and maybe it's just dried minerals/salt, etc. or something but I'm just not sure as I'm pretty new to houseplants.

I was just curious if anyone had any ideas on what it might be or if I should try to wipe the leaves with something? Some people seem to recommend vinegar and water but I didn't know if that's a good idea or if too much vinegar would hurt the leaves. It seems otherwise fine but just wanted to maybe make sure it wasn't something I should be concerned about.

Thanks for any ideas.
