Beautiful tough Cattleya! Lovey dubby
Elaine, I can see the problems associated with your climate.
Around here I have lost beautiful Cattleyas ( and other stuff ) usually in the Spring, when the weather was warm enough to move things outside, but then turns prolonged rainy and chilly, until ca June 6. Come to think of, as we talked about it before, many of my Cattleyas are getting old and they also "converted" to hanging up. Mostly with their roots open in the air. Easy to wet, quick to dry.
Most Pleurothallids don't like our warm and humid NJ Summer, I haven't bought any new ones in years.

Here is a cutie, Ceratostylis philippinensis. This one is a tough plant and blooms every so often without a true season. The tiny blooms measure in the less than a cm range.
