Ah you're right, probably the new member status. I'm not sure how long or how many posts until that flag drops off, but now I get what you mean. It's a necessary evil on forums since no one can be there to watch every new post to avoid nasty links, unless it's a forum that requires moderator approval on every single post. Which no one wants to do.
