Lovely bloom! How many of your parents bred irises do you have in your garden? What a fun inheritance!

AM: finally! The first tray of cookies have hit the oven. I have one more batch after this one to get done. Hopefully they turn out and our tasty. This is my usual go to recipe. Generally they work each time except every so often when they really flatten out. Ah well, they still taste good.

I'm dealing w allergies today. My eye hurts something good. I don't need that at all!

Once cookies are done and set aside and my mess cleaned up, I'll move to sewing, well cutting out as I have the last dress to cut out. But plans will get scuttled again as the hubs wants me to follow him to his parents as we've been borrowing their spare. I guess I'll sew tomorrow afternoon.

The cookies are good! Three votes say yay!

Suns finally FINALLY nosing back out. We have frost warnings tonight which is fine, everything is still in the house. Next week I might look at moving stuff on out slowly. Will see.

Did I ever say my garlic looked good? It's up!

Well off to pull the next tray out of the oven and get the next batch mixed.
Every gardener knows that under the cloak of winter lies a miracle ... a seed waiting to sprout, a bulb opening to the light, a bud straining to unfurl. And the anticipation nurtures our dream."
