My back is definitely feeling it! It takes about 15 bags per raised bed, and we moved them all by wheelbarrow from the driveway around to the back. Lifted each one, placed into the bed, cut and emptied. About 90 times. Smiling

This is a prototype of a community garden project that will be duplicated around the country starting next year. I'm documenting everything I'm doing because the gardens going in next year will need specific instructions on how to establish a new garden in an urban environment. This is why we're doing the metal raised beds and ground cover sheeting; the environments will be urban. It's also why we haven't put together the final raised beds; we're going to video tape the construction of the final beds to help the cities know how to put them together and stuff.
