Unfortunately rosemary does not over winter in our climate here. I've tried a couple of times but when we hit the 20 degree mark, they are toast. I usually start my seeds indoors under lights in Jan/Feb and in May, out they go.
I'm a big fan of growing herbs and just redid a garden bed to be dedicated to growing vegetables and herbs. Nothing like going out and clipping a few sprigs.
