I remember the great Fuchsia collections people had in the 1980s and early 1990s, Mike. My own collection wasn't that spectacular, but I had a few dozen cultivars. Swingtime was the only one that survived the gall mite plague.
I don't doubt that Fuchsias like the sun in Washington, Springcolor, but when I try growing Fuchsias in the sun here, I have to water them twice a day. Too much bother, so they all go in the shade.
