I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database!
I saw some of these temp dependent patterns this past summer in some of my seedlings. It was, for the most part an extraordinarily hot, dry summer. But we had one or two periods of a day or two when it dropped down to the low 60's (I think) and the highs were upper 80s to low 90s instead of 100-110 with lows of upper 70s to lower 80s. Here are what the seedlings looked like with the different conditions.

Some of the differences are subtle and others pretty dramatic. Wish that the Stack the Deck seedling looked like that all the time.
