I have always used 1/2 tsp (3% hydrogen peroxide) mixed with 1 cup of water, in a transparent ziplock bag (to see exactly when the primordial root emerges) to germinate my daylily seeds. As soon as the seed germinates I transfer to pots with seeding mix.
