I don't have enough experience to say. "Wave" is a good guess for general purposes.

Do you mind dead-heading?
How far do you want them to dangle, or would you prune the ends?

I didn't find the article that detailed all the different kinds of petuias, and what the virtues of each kind was, but here are some links ... someone on one of these threads may be able to piin t you to a good article.
